(SPRINGFIELD) A reminder to farmers who have not yet enrolled in the ARC or PLC programs for the 2024 crop year, that they have until March 15th to revise elections and sign contracts. Both safety net programs provide vital income support to farmers who experience declines in crop prices or revenues for the 2024 crop year. So far in Illinois, farmers have completed 104,564 contracts to date, representing 59% of the more than 177,000 expected contracts. Farmers should contact their local county FSA Office ASAP.
