Girl Scout Cookie Sales
The Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois will be selling their popular cookies at various locations this weekend. In Olney, you can find them at the Walmart SuperCenter from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, and 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday. To find other local cookie sale locations, visit gsofsi.org. Proceeds from the sales support programming, camp maintenance, and financial assistance for girls in need of support to participate in Girl Scouts.
Walking Tacos at Ste. Marie American Legion
Join the Ste. Marie American Legion this Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 for their delicious “walking tacos.” You can dine in or carry out. Everyone is welcome!
Olney VFW Queen of Hearts Drawing
The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Olney VFW will take place this Sunday at 4:00 PM, with a jackpot of over $3,000 for the winner, if present. The VFW appreciates the support of all local veterans, their families, and the community!
Newton Queen of Hearts & Valentine’s Karaoke Night
This Friday at 6:30 PM, head over to the American Legion Post 20 in Newton for the next Queen of Hearts drawing, with a jackpot of $32,560. Tickets will be on sale until draw time. It’s also Valentine’s Karaoke Night with DJ Jim Messina, plus finger foods and the opportunity to bring something to share. The event is at 108 East Jourdan Street in Newton.
Olney VFW Auxiliary Taco Night
The Olney VFW Auxiliary is hosting a “taco night” this Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 PM (or until sold out) at 205 North Walnut Street in Olney. The event also includes a bake sale and 50/50 drawing. Call in orders will be accepted starting at 4:00 PM at 618-392-4226.
