(SPRINGFIELD) In last Friday’s USDA July Prices Received Index : Agricultural Production decreased 2.7% from June to July and dropped 1.2 percent from July 2023 : Crop Production was down 6.7% from June and down 16% from July a year ago : Livestock Production was up 3.4% from June with an increase of 16% from July last year : producers received lower prices in July for lettuce, corn, and soybeans, but higher prices for market eggs, cattle, oranges, and strawberries : in addition to prices, there was decreased marketing in July for milk, cattle, and broilers, but increased monthly movement for wheat, grapes, cotton, and hay.
