TUESDAY WEATHER DISCUSSION

(OLNEY/NEWTON) It will be another warmer-than-normal day on tap for this Tuesday with a chance of rain and maybe some thunderstorm activity for our downstate area today thru tonight. As the associated cold front moves through later tonight, our wind direction will switch from the west/northwest and while the rain chances end, colder air will move into our region for the next few days. We’ll eventually warm back into the 50’s and 60’s on Friday and Saturday with dry weather expected for the first weekend of March 2024. Then more rain possible the first of next week. Stay tuned for weather updates and as always, monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather information and forecast details.

(OLNEY) Here at the WVLN-WSEI National Weather Service official weather station for Olney and Richland County, yesterday’s high temperature at 76 degrees was a new record high for February 26th, breaking the previous record high of 75 degrees set in the year 2000.
