(OLNEY) The Richland County School Board of Education had a special meeting last night in Olney. The Board : agreed to expel three students, each for the remainder of the 2025-26 school year and for the first semester of the 2026-27 school year. Each of the three students will be referred to an alternative school and the students may return to their schools on a Principal’s Probation during the first semester of the 2026-27 school year if they complete 20 hours of approved counseling, pass their hair follicle drug test, and follow all rules while attending an alternative school : also heard an update on the District’s proposed athletic complex contract with GeoSurfaces with the Board to consider an updated and final contract at its next regular monthly meeting on Tuesday night, November 18th, 2025, in Olney.
