(NEWTON/OLNEY) Several downstate counties and communities are now under various “Burn Bans” due to the extremely dry ground and weather conditions. The current bans prohibit most all open-air burning, including those with trash barrels and those dealing with yard debris, landscape, and/or brush piles. Residents should contact their respective counties, towns, and fire departments & fire protection districts for more burn ban details.
