The Richland County School Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting in Olney, addressing key topics and approvals.
Meeting Highlights:
- Financial Report: Approved the January financial report totaling $716,351.
 - Graduation Date: Discussed possible dates for RCHS graduation, with an official decision to be made at the March board meeting.
 - 5Essentials Survey: Noted that the School District’s 5Essentials Survey for parents, guardians, staff, and students will soon begin.
 - Staff Approvals: Approved the Seniority List for Educational Support Staff and the Performance Rankings File for licensed staff as presented.
 - Student Expulsion: Expelled a student for the remainder of this school year and the 2025-2026 school year. The student will be referred to alternative school with a chance to return in the second semester of 2025-2026 under Principal’s Probation, contingent on completing 20 hours of approved counseling and following school rules.
