The Richland County Board held its regular monthly meeting for February in Olney, where several key decisions were made:
- Approved payments for January bills totaling $214,511 for County General claims and $198,175 for Non-County claims.
- Authorized a $15,000 payment to the Noble Fire Protection District.
- Granted approval for the St. Joseph Parish/Stringtown liquor license for March 8, 2025, as requested.
- Approved a resolution with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for improvements to the Mt. Gilead Lane intersection.
- Appointed Dr. Andrew Shajari, M.D., to the Richland County TB Board.
- Entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Wabash County Health Department to register Richland County’s Cottage Food Operations for 2025.
- Recognized Discover Downstate Illinois Tourism as the state-certified tourism bureau for Richland County.
- Reviewed various reports from county offices and departments.
- Agreed to install an ATM inside the Courthouse.
- After an executive session, approved proposed changes to the budgets of the State’s Attorney, Circuit Clerk, Treasurer, and County Clerk.
