REGIONAL WEATHER OUTLOOK

(OLNEY/NEWTON) With rain totals yesterday ranging from one to two inches throughout our downstate area, plus a lot of wind damage, power outages, flooding, and some hail reported, our weather quiets down today with a light westerly wind and plenty of sunshine. However, the primary concern for the next couple of days and nights will be windy conditions, as a south wind develops tonight and continues with strong southwesterly winds tomorrow through Friday night, that’s anywhere from 15 to 25 miles-per-hour with gusts possible up to 40 miles-per-hour. Our next chance of precipitation is Sunday with rain and maybe some light snow that night, followed by colder air in place for the first part of next week.
