(OLNEY) In Boys High School Basketball over the weekend,
Olney won two games, one at home and the other on the road.
- Olney beat Paris in an LIC matchup Friday night, 64-26
Led by Arjay Keller with 20 points and Casey Thomann with 14 points
- The Tigers then beat Breese Central Saturday night, 44-41 (10-1)
Led by Ian Winkler with 14 points and Rex Hallam with 12 points.
- The Olney junior varsity also won Friday night over Paris, 37-28 (3-2)
The Tigers are in Effingham tomorrow night to play St. Anthony.
(NEWTON) In Boys High School Basketball over the weekend,
Newton split two varsity games on the road.
- The Eagles beat Robinson in LIC action Friday night, 56-49
Led by Caden Nichols with 28 points and Dylan Gier with 14 points.
- Newton however lost at Fairfield Saturday night, 60-51 (7-3)
Led by Caden Nichols with 18 points and Dylan Geir with 14 points.
The Eagle’s junior varsity squad dropped two games
- Newton lost to Robinson, 33-17 and lost to Fairfield, 55-50 (2-4)
The Eagles return home to host Charleston tomorrow night.
