OLNEY, NEWTON AND LOCAL GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL SCORES – APRIL 15, 2025

OLNEY
The Richland County Lady Tigers took down Mt. Carmel in a dominant non-LIC performance, winning 11-1 in five innings at home. Olney outhit the visiting Lady Aces, 15 to 3.

  • Winning Pitcher: Natalie Ochs earned the win in the circle.
  • Offensive Leaders:
    • Miranda Dowty led the bats with a home run, three singles, and two RBI.
    • Taylor Bloomer had a big day at the plate with two doubles, a single, and three RBI.
    • Kaiya Seessengood added a home run and a single with two RBI.
    • Clara Williams doubled, singled, and scored two runs.
    • Jaylen Gwyn and Kaitlyn Dowty each contributed RBI hits.

The Lady Tigers improve to 5-3 and are scheduled to host Lawrenceville on Thursday.


NEWTON
The Newton Lady Eagles kept their perfect season intact, rolling over Effingham St. Anthony 16-2 in five innings. Newton exploded for 18 hits while holding the host Lady Bulldogs to just 8.

  • Winning Pitcher: Amelia Collins picked up the win for Newton.
  • Top Hitters:
    • Addy O’Dell powered the offense with two doubles, two singles, and three RBI.
    • Camryn Martin collected three hits and drove in three runs.
    • Audrie Reich smashed two home runs and added a double with two RBI.
    • Sally Mahaffey added a homer and a double, driving in two.
    • Allie Hermann doubled twice, singled, and scored three runs.

Now 12-0 on the season, Newton will host Mt. Carmel on Thursday.
