(OLNEY) The Olney City Council met last night in regular session. The Council : approved the payment of all bills as presented : discussed and agreed to support the development of a Dog Park in Olney, which also has the support of the Richland County Board and others : approved the $187,976 bid from Visu-Sewer for the Main Street Sanitary Sewer Line Relining project : approved the City’s MFT concrete bid for miscellaneous construction work from Schrey Systems in Olney : approved the City’s MFT oil and chip street bid from Mt. Carmel Stabilization : amended the City’s annual budget for the Whittle Avenue Railroad project with reimbursement later from the Illinois Commerce Commission : amended the City’s annual budget and approved an IDOT resolution of agreement for the City’s East Street Bridge project : approved the purchase of two dump trucks for the City Street Department from Ford Square in Mt. Vernon, priced at approximately $65,000 each : and after a closed session to discuss real estate and personnel, approved an ordinance to establish wages for City of Olney non-bargaining employees – also approved a resolution a pro-rated Retention Agreement with the Olney Police Department : the Council’s next meeting is June 24th.
