The Olney City Council met for its regularly scheduled session Tuesday night and addressed a full agenda of items.
Actions Taken by the Council:
- Financials: Approved payment of all presented bills.
 - Property Sales: Approved the sale of two city-owned properties by bid:
- 502 W. Chestnut Street for $1,200
 - 526 S. Saratoga Street for $1,500
No bids were received for 207 N. Saratoga Street. 
 - Vehicle Purchases: Approved the purchase of six used trucks—two from Eagleson’s Automotive and four from McClane Motors.
 - Ordinance Updates:
- Amended the ordinance regulating construction of boat ramps, piers, platforms, boathouses, and docks.
 - Amended the ordinance to designate the city’s new dog park as the only location in Olney where dogs may run off-leash.
 
 - Dog Park Naming: The city’s new dog park will officially be named “K-9 Playground.”
 - Bids & Contracts:
- Approved a concrete construction bid from Shrey Systems.
 - Approved a sand supply bid from Dolls Inc.
 - Approved six separate crop share leases with local farmers.
 
 - Licensing & Permits:
- Approved three raffle licenses.
 - Approved a permit for the Olney Downtown Market to sell merchandise in the City Park.
 - Approved a permit for for-profit yoga classes in the City Park or Recreation Area.
 
 - Executive Session: Held a closed session to discuss matters related to real property, negotiations, and personnel.
 - Meeting Minutes: Approved minutes from executive sessions held on March 24 and April 4.
 
The next regular City Council meeting is scheduled for April 28, 2025.
