(OLNEY) Olney Central College is taking registrations now for its OCC Ignite Curiosity Summer Camps for area youth in grades 5 thru 12. The fun-filled, one-day camps offer an excellent opportunity for students to explore their interests and hobbies while having a great time in learning with others. Area students can attend just one of the camps or all seven which will include plenty of hands-on activities led by OCC instructors. With each camp meeting at OCC from 9:00 to 2:00, the cost of either $25 or $35 per camp, includes a lunch, plus payment is due at the time of registration. Space is limited, so early signup is encouraged. Here’s the list of the Summer Camps offered with a brief description :
- Metaling Around/Welding for grades 7–12 is May 30th where campers learn about welding safety and a chance to make a name plate to take home ($35)
- Jazz For Young Musicians for grades 5–12 where campers can bring their instruments and jam as a renowned Jazz musician while exploring the musical genre of Jazz ($25)
- Blowing Stuff Up With Sciense for grades 5–12 is June 11th where campers will take part in fun experiments and discover the wonders of science as maybe never before ($35)
- Sylist For A Day/Cosmetology for grades 7–12 is June 12th where campers learn to style hair, paint nails, experiment with colors, & more at the West Richland Center in Noble ($25)
- Starting Your Own Business for grades 7–12 is June 13th where campers learn how to start, develop, and market their own business with brainstorming and more ($25)
- Ew! Awesome Biology for grades 5–12 is June 14th where campers tough a human brain, see DNA with their own eyes, and more with various experiments and activities for all ($35)
- My Own Game/Coding for grades 5–12 is June 17th where students will learn the coding process, build their own computer games, and much more ($25)
