At the Noble Village Board’s regular bi-monthly meeting last night, several important updates and decisions were made:
- Bills Payment: The Board approved payment for all bills as presented.
- Water Line Connection Rate Increase: A flat rate increase for Village water line connections and taps was approved, rising from $1,110 to $1,500 per connection. This adjustment reflects increased costs for materials and labor.
- Grocery Tax Ordinance: The proposed Grocery Tax Ordinance for the Village of Noble was presented. However, the Board will not consider this matter until January 2025.
- Property Mowing: The Board discussed the possibility of the Village mowing property on West Locust Street but took no action at this time.
- Chicken Regulations: In accordance with the Village Codebook, which prohibits roosters and outlines guidelines for chickens, letters will be sent to residents with chickens informing them of the regulations.
The next regular meeting of the Noble Village Board is scheduled for September 23, 2024.
