(OLNEY) The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) has partnered with Vincennes University to create a new option for students interested in Surgical Technology careers. Under the agreement, students will complete their first year of coursework with IECC, either in-person or online, before applying to Vincennes University’s Surgical Technology program to finish up their degree. The partnership was developed in direct response to a regional workforce shortage. Local hospitals are seeking qualified Surgical Technologists, and with a nationally recognized program nearby at VU, the collaboration provides a pathway to train and retain professionals in the area.
