MONDAY WEATHER DISCUSSION

(OLNEY/NEWTON) After a dry and warm weekend, we’re back to sunshine, a few clouds, and higher humidity levels than we’ve had so far this year with the threat of rain and maybe some thunderstorm activity in the forecast. While we’ll stay dry both today and tomorrow, a warm front moves into the Upper Midwest on Tuesday with a cold front on its heels, and as the weather systems collide, our downstate rain & storm chances will likely materialize by early Wednesday morning and continue through the day here and there. Then we’ll have daily afternoon chances of some pop-up showers or isolated storms for the rest of the week as the humidity likely hangs around through the upcoming holiday weekend as well. Stay tuned for weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for forecast details.
