Girls Junior High Cross Country
At the Tom Wickham Invitational in Fairfield last Saturday, the NCOE Lady Cardinals claimed victory, finishing ahead of second-place Olney St. Joe with a score of 37 to 51. Hamilton County came in third with a score of 55, followed by Fairfield with 80 points, and Clay City (NS).
The Lady Wildcats were well-represented with four runners finishing in the top ten:
- Breeann Ochs (5th)
- Mabel Stout (6th)
- Delana Sterchi (7th)
- Belle Graves (8th)
Olney St. Joe will run again today with the Middle School at the Olney City Park.
Boys Junior High Cross Country
In the boys’ competition at the same event, the NCOE Wildcats emerged victorious, defeating second-place Olney St. Joe with a score of 17 to 42. The standings were followed by Fairfield, Clay City, and Geff.
The Wildcats were led by five runners who finished in the top twenty:
- Jeremiah Marshall (5th)
- Ezra Dicks (8th)
- Grayson Sterchi (9th)
- Nathaniel Zwilling (12th)
- Beau Stevens (18th)
St. Joe’s boys’ team will also be competing today with the Middle School at the Olney City Park.
