(SPRINGFIELD) A number of agricultural groups will be represented tomorrow at the State Fair during Agriculture Day, including the Illinois Farm Bureau, Illinois Pork Producers, Illinois Soybean Association, Illinois Specialy Growers Association, and others, all of which will share information on current ag policies and concerns of the farming community in Illinois. Livestock exhibitors, youth in agriculture participants, and statewide farmers will also be on the hand to celebrate the state’s number one industry. Illinois’ agricultural output generates more than $51 billion every year to the state’s economy, including over $19 billion from agricultural commodities and billions more from related industries. Illinois is the top soybean producing state in America and the second largest producer of corn.
