The IHSA Class 1A and 2A State Baseball Tournaments concluded over the weekend at Illinois Field in Champaign.
Class 1A State Finals
Championship Game:
Ottawa Marquette edged out Father McGivney (Glen Carbon) in a close one, 6-5, to take home the state title.
Third Place Game:
Pawnee defeated Lexington, 9-4.
Class 2A State Finals
Championship Game:
Springfield Sacred Heart Griffin won the 2A championship with a 5-4 victory over Teutopolis.
Third Place Game:
Eureka beat Sterling Newman Central Catholic, 9-3.

(OLNEY) IHSA Class 3A & 4A Baseball Sectionals – Downstate Results
The Class 3A and 4A Sectional Championships wrapped up Saturday with intense competition across the state.
Class 3A Sectional Finals
- Triad edged Mascoutah, 2-1 in nine innings
- Champaign Central slipped past Mahomet-Seymour, 1-0 in an eleven-inning battle
Class 4A Sectional Final
- Normal Community High School outlasted O’Fallon, 10-8
