Robinson, IL – The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges (IECC) Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting Monday night at Lincoln Trail College, northeast of Robinson. Highlights from the meeting include:
- Financial Approvals:
- Authorized payment of all presented bills.
- Approved the issuance of $7.04 million in bonds to support district claims and upcoming capital projects.
- Approved a Trust Agreement with First National Bank in Olney for a roof replacement at Olney Central College’s theater and gym.
- Approved an emergency flooring repair project for the foyer at OCC.
- Academic and Program Enhancements:
- Approved the purchase of three Snap-On tool kits for the Diesel Program at Wabash Valley College.
- Approved updates to the Credit for Prior Learning Policy to accommodate LPNs entering the RN program.
- Insurance and Agreements:
- Renewed property, casualty, and liability insurance with Wright Specialty Insurance (noting a 25% cost increase).
- Approved nine healthcare affiliation agreements across the district.
- Renewed various lease agreements throughout the IECC system.
- Recognitions:
- Passed a resolution recognizing Dr. Gerald “Jay” Edgren for his service to the district ahead of his retirement.
- Commended Lincoln Trail College President Tona Ambrose for receiving the Phi Theta Kappa Paragon New President Award.
- Personnel Actions:
- Approved 25 Assessment Stipend Special Assignments for FY 2026.
- Approved a status change for Rob Jackman, moving from Perkins Project Coordinator to Program Director.
- Accepted the resignation of Brady Martin, Academic Advisor at Wabash Valley College.
- Accepted the retirement of Katy Head, Lead Custodian at Wabash Valley College.
