IECC BOARD MEETING RECAP (02/29/2024)

(OLNEY/NEWTON) The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting in February this past Tuesday night in Fairfield. The Board : approved the District’s Fiscal Year 2025 tuition & fee rates to be effective with the Summer 2024 term with the In-District Tuition set at $135 per credit hour : approved the Illinois Consortium for International Studies & Programs Cost Recovery Fee for IECC students interested in study abroad opportunities : approved two bids as presented – $866,384 from OneRoom, Incorporated in Springfield, Illinois for Synchronous Learning Classrooms project and $45,911 from Eagleson Automotive Center in Olney for a new passenger van : approved various affiliation agreements : approved the sale of approximately five acres in Crawford County, the former Lincoln Trail College “South Campus” : approved changes to the Revolving Fund & Utility Fund Policy to allow the IECC to better manage payment of bills and meet obligations : also approved revisions to other policies dealing with Degree Transfer Guarantees, Technical Degree/Certificate Guarantees, Student Consumer Info Disclosures, and Student Military : and in personnel moves – accepted the retirement for Laurel Cutright as Math Instructor at Olney Central College – approved employment status changes for Rodney Rains from Interim Program Director to Program Director of Adult Education and for Christy Morley from TRIO Upward Bound Counselor to TRIO Upward Bound Coordinator at Wabash Valley College – agreed to hire Jesus Gonzales as Head Mens & Womens Soccer Coach at Lincoln Trail College, Rachel Greenwood as International Student Liaison at Lincoln Trail College & Olney Central College, Juliet Graham as Student Specialist at Wabash Valley College, and Melissa Hardiman as Custodian at Wabash Valley College – and approved the non-college employment for Dustin Wiggins at CenterPoint Energy in Evansville, Indiana : the next regular IECC Board meeting will be March 19th.
