- Newton beat Altamont, 6-0
The Lady Eagles though were outhit by the Lady Indians, 7 to 3
- Winning pitcher – Avery Mulvey, striking out 11 in 7 innings of work
- At the plate – Lexie Grove had an RBI triple
- Sally Mahaffey had 2 hits and 1 run scored
SATURDAY
Newton split two games at Greenville
- The Lady Eagles beat the host Lady Comets, 8-2
- Newton lost to Red Bud, 4-3

- In the other game – Red Bud beat Greenville, 15-3
The (13-4) Lady Eagles are scheduled to host Marshall today
