(OLNEY/NEWTON) With colder air and dry weather conditions in place today and Saturday, we’ll have some sunshine mixed up with clouds both day before a strong storm system from the west brings us a lot of wintry precipitation tomorrow night, through Sunday, and into Monday. The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Storm Watch for all of our downstate area, calling for an overall accumulation of 4 to 8 inches of snow with some ice or freezing rain mixed in, plus with strong north/northwest winds, blowing and drifting snow is likely. Then after the precipitation ends by Monday afternoon, we’ll get our first shot of frigid air for the rest of next week. Stay tuned for continued weather updates and always monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for weather forecast details and/or alerts.
