The countdown is on for the 169th Richland County Fair, and this year’s schedule is packed with entertainment, family activities, agriculture, livestock competitions, and grandstand events for all ages!
Hunter recently welcomed CP and Eric from the Richland County Fair Board to the studio to discuss everything visitors can expect during the 2026 Richland County Fair. During the interview, they highlighted many of the fair’s biggest attractions and encouraged the community to come out and support one of Richland County’s longest-standing traditions.
The fair kicks off on Friday, July 17, with the always-popular Truck Pulls at 7:00 p.m. in the Grandstands.
On Saturday, July 18, visitors can enjoy the Antique Equipment Exhibit beginning at 10:00 a.m., before heading to the Grandstands for the Tractor Pulls at 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, July 19 begins with the Junior Horse Show in the infield at 8:00 a.m. Family Fun Day follows from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., sponsored by First National Bank in Olney, and the day concludes with the annual Gospel Sing at 7:00 p.m. in the Bandshell.
The excitement continues on Monday, July 20, with the Ag Experience from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., giving fairgoers an opportunity to learn more about local agriculture. That evening, the Miss Richland County Fair Queen Pageant and Little Miss Pageant take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Grandstands.
Tuesday, July 21 is one of the busiest days of the fair, featuring several livestock competitions. The Swine Show and Bucket Calf Show both begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Dairy Show at 9:00 a.m., the Rabbit Show at 10:00 a.m., and the Sheep Show at 2:00 p.m. That evening, the Grandstands host T&A Bucking Bulls at 7:00 p.m., sponsored by First National Bank in Olney, while the annual Talent Show takes place at 7:00 p.m. in the Bandshell.
On Wednesday, July 22, livestock competitions continue with the Beef Show and Poultry Show beginning at 8:00 a.m., followed by the Goat Show at 2:00 p.m. Then, the Richland County Farm Bureau Young Leaders will host their Pedal Tractor Pull, with registration beginning at 2:00 p.m. and the competition starting at 3:00 p.m. The evening wraps up with one of the fair’s favorite traditions, Pig Penning, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Grandstands.
Thursday, July 23 starts with Master Showmanship at 8:00 a.m., showcasing the top youth exhibitors across multiple livestock species. The annual 4-H Auction follows at 3:00 p.m., before the action moves to the Grandstands for the Mud Boggs at 7:00 p.m., sponsored by Car Corral.
On Friday, July 24, motocross riders take center stage during the Motocross event at 7:00 p.m. in the Grandstands, sponsored by Lemonds Motorsports of Olney.
The fair wraps up on Saturday, July 25, with the ever so-popular Demolition Derby at 7:00 p.m. in the Grandstands. Reserved seating will be available for this fan-favorite event.
Throughout the week, visitors can also enjoy carnival rides, agricultural exhibits, delicious fair food, and entertainment for the entire family.
CP and Eric emphasized that the Richland County Fair continues to celebrate the county’s agricultural heritage while bringing the community together for a week of fun, fellowship, and tradition. Whether you’re attending for the grandstand events, the exhibits, cheering on local 4-H members, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, there’s something for everyone at this year’s fair.
