(NEWTON) In Boys High School Tennis from Saturday –
There were 16 teams that competed at the Mattoon Tournament
- Teutopolis won the event with 15 total points
- St. Anthony and the host Green Wave tied for 2nd place, each with 10 points
- Champaign St. Thomas More was 4th with 9 points
- Robinson and Casey-Westfield tied for 5th place with 8 points each
- Flora and Paris tied for 7th place, each with 7 points
- Lincoln was 9th with 6 points, followed by Urbana with 5 points
- Newton was alone in 11th place with 4 points
- Charleston and Mahomet-Seymour tied for 12th place with 3 points each
- Salem and Maroa-Forsyth tied for 14th place, each with 2 points

- Isaac Street (3-1) won, then lost in three sets, and then won his final two matches
#2 SINGLES
- Kahlin Michl (0-2) lost both of his matches
#1 DOUBLES
- Wesley Britton & Alex Bigard (0-2) lost both of their matches
#2 DOUBLES
- Michael Shamhart & AJ Pitcher (0-2) lost both of their matches
The Eagles are scheduled to host Robinson this Thursday in Newton.
