(NEWTON) In Boys High School Basketball from Friday night (02/09/2024)–
- Newton avenged a loss to Olney from two weeks earlier and beat the Tigers, 56-39
- The Eagles were led by Caden Nichols with 25 points
- Parker Wolf and Dylan Gier added 15 and 14 points respectively
- Olney’s senior point guard Ian Winkler had 21 points
Newton won the junior varsity game in overtime, 47-44.
Olney is now 23-4 on the year and finishes at 5-2 in the LIC, The Tigers wrap up their regular season at home with Teutopolis Thursday night.
Newton improved to 18-10 on the year and at 5-1 in the LIC, the Eagles finish league action next Tuesday night at Casey-Westfield.
