(MT. CARMEL) In Boys High School Golf yesterday –
The Olney Tigers open their 2024 season at the Mt. Carmel Invitational
- Olney finished second to the host Aces, 318 to 303
- Hamilton County was two strokes back in third place at 320
- Then Carmi (330), Edwards County (331), and Lawrenceville/Red Hill (340)
- Rounding out the field was Fairfield (363) and Harrisburg (427)
Individually, the Tigers had two players that finished in the top ten
- Ayden Nealis was second with a 71
- Reese Glover was in a three-way tie for third place with a 72
- Carsyn Ameter shot an 84 while Carter Blank shot a 91
- Brody Thomas and Levi Hefferman were also in the field for Olney
The Tigers are back in action tomorrow at the St. Anthony Invitational in Effingham

The Olney was among seven teams at the Mt. Carmel Invitational
- The Lady Tigers (506) finished in sixth place ahead of Edwards County (NTS)
- The host Lady Aces won the event by beating second place Hamilton County, 286 to 383
- Harrisburg was third (394), followed by Carmi (416) and Fairfield (440)

- Mallory Richardson shot a 116
- Katelyn Bookhout had a 127
- Aubrie Weidner shot a 131
- Addalyn Runyon was a stroke back at 132
The Olney ladies are back in action next Tuesday at Casey
