EARLY 2026 FERTILIZER PRICES

(CHAMPAIGN) For now, retail fertilizer prices tracked by DTN for the first week of March 2026 show very little difference from recent weeks, which could change with rising wholesale prices due to the military conflict in the Middle East. Retail prices were mixed with five of the eight major fertilizers higher, while the remaining three nutrients were lower compared to last month. For the fifth straight week, the one fertilizer with a considerable price increase was urea, 5% higher compared to February’s price. The remaining four slightly more expensive fertilizers were MAP, anhydrous, UAN28, and UAN32. Three fertilizers were slightly lower than the prior month, including DAP, potash, and 10-34-0. All eight fertilizers are now higher than a year ago.
