(CHAMPAIGN) The University of Illinois farmdoc team will travel the state this month for its annual Illinois Farm Economics Summit, designed to help producers and landowners navigate the current economic conditions and policy issues impacting agriculture. Speakers will analyze factors shaping farm profitability this year through presentations, discussion, an interactive session on grain & livestock markets, farm financials & profitability, farm & risk management, farmland values & leasing, farm policy, and more. The farmdoc team will also provide details and insight to aid with management decisions during this ongoing period of financial stress. The only downstate half-day summit will be Tuesday, December 16th, in Mt. Vernon. The other two half-day summits will be in DeKalb and Peoria. Pre-registration in online at farmdoc.illinois.edu.
