The Noble Village Board held its regular meeting on Monday night and addressed several community updates and upcoming events:
- Bills Approved: The Board approved the payment of all bills as presented.
- Village Clerk Position: Discussion was held on advertising for a new Village Clerk. However, no action was taken, pending consultation with the Village Attorney.
- Parade Route Closure Approved: Approval was confirmed for the temporary closure of East Illinois Route 250 (between North Noble Avenue and North Lund Street) for the upcoming Freedom Festival Parade on June 28.
- Village-Wide Garage Sales: Scheduled for Friday, May 17, residents are encouraged to participate and plan ahead.
- MayFest Car Show & Activities: Set for Saturday, May 3, the event will be held in the Noble Village Park.
- Village Cleanup: The next cleanup day is scheduled for early morning pickup on Wednesday, April 30. Residents should have items curbside by that time.
- Street Committee Update: The Village Street Committee has met, and the Village Engineer will review streets proposed for oil and chip treatment this summer. Further discussion is expected at the next meeting.
The next regular Village Board meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 28.
