OCC INSTALLS NESTING BOXES TO BOOST WHITE SQUIRREL POPULATION

(OLNEY) Olney Central College has announced that it is now taking measures to ensure the campus’ white squirrel population continues to thrive by installing several nesting boxes near the Applied Technology Center construction site. Through the guidance and advice of local experts on squirrel habitat, OCC constructed the nesting boxes and hung them in areas of importance, due mostly to the construction area, where several trees will have to be taken down and removed. Along with the nesting boxes, Olney Central College also has plans to plant additional trees on the east side of Wattleworth Hall in the near future.
