The Richland County School Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting on November 19th in Olney. Key actions taken during the meeting included:
- Financial Reports: The Board approved the October financial report, which included a monthly bill listing totaling $2,267,409.
- Tax Levy: The Board approved the Tentative 2024 Tax Levy.
- Health/Life Safety Survey: The Ten-Year Health/Life Safety Survey for the Middle and Elementary Schools was approved.
- Lighting Installation: The Board authorized the purchase and installation of lighting at the Middle School, totaling $36,155, through Pals Electric.
- Dual Credit Courses: An additional list of Dual Credit Courses offered at Olney Central College was approved.
- Nursing Building Donation: No action was taken on a proposed donation to the Nursing Building project at Olney Central College due to a lack of motion.
