(OLNEY) The City of Olney Water Department has announced it will be switching the disinfectant in the water distribution system from free chlorine back to chloramine this coming Monday, April 15th. Chloramines are the normal disinfectant used by the City while the free chlorine was used the past few weeks in conjunction with the biannual hydrant flushing. Residents may notice a change in the taste of the water until all the free chlorine is out of the distribution lines. The patience of all is appreciated by the City of Olney.
