- Newton beat Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine, 11-1 in five innings
The Eagles outhit the visiting Wildcats, 12 to 3
- Winning pitcher was Kohlten Barthelme, striking out 9 in the 5 innings of work
- Payton Harris led the Newton attack with a home run, 2 doubles, and 3 RBI
- Dylan Gier doubled and singled with 3 RBI
- Isaac Flowers had 2 hits and 2 RBI
The 6-2 Eagles will travel to Altamont tomorrow.
