(OLNEY/NEWTON) With a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for most all of our listening area today through midnight tonight, our downstate area forecast is calling for freezing rain and/or rain today through tonight, but changing over to all rain for tomorrow and the rest of the week with a warmup. However, some forecast models show our downstate area staying dry for a good portion of today before the precipitation begins, so stay tuned for updates and monitor a local NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather forecast details.
(NEWTON/OLNEY) With almost all regional and area schools out of session today due to the impending weather, especially in relations to driving conditions on un-treated roads, authorities are encouraging folks to stay at home if at all possible, at least until warmer air moves in, therefore giving us all rain in the forecast.
