(BLOOMINGTON) A program administered by the Illinois Farm Bureau is fighting food insecurity throughout the state. The IFB’s Young Leaders Program has been taking part in the National Harvest for All initiative, an effort by the American Farm Bureau Federation, with proceeds going to food pantries and food banks all around the state, including some on college campuses as well. The group was recently recognized by the Illinois Farm Bureau for its hunger relief efforts, all based on overall pounds of food donated, volunteer hours, and dollars raised. The Illinois Farm Bureau represents three out of four Illinois farmers.
