(SPRINGFIELD) The Illinois State Capitol was full yesterday for the 55th annual Illinois Agriculture Legislative Day (IALD). Illinois FFA state officers, the Illinois 4-H leadership team, and additional members from both organizations, as well as representatives from 50 diverse agriculture organizations all met with state lawmakers yesterday in Springfield. Among those in attendance Illinois FFA President Trenton Payne of the Olney FFA Chapter, noting the day as a time to recognize that agriculture is not just a local issue, but a statewide mission. Others attending were Governor J.B. Pritzker, Illinois 4-H Youth Leadership Team Chair Janella Neary, and Illinois State County Fair Queen Johnna Fulcher.
