4-WHEEL DRIVE TRACTOR SALES ARE UP

(SPRINGFIELD) In an update from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the U.S. sales of four-wheel drive tractors were up 24% in April, compared to a year ago, with year to date sales of big tractors up 1.9%. The unit sales of 100-plus horsepower tractors also increased last month, up 7.2% year-over-year, following March’s jump of 3.2%. And combine sales increased in April, growing 6.7% compared to this time in 2023. Equipment officials say the modest growth in April sales is an indicator of resilience in the overall ag industry.
