(OLNEY) in boys Jr. high basketball at the OCC Shootout, the Olney 8th grade beat Loogootee 35-32, and the Olney 7th grade beat Salem 29-22. The Olney Middle School Cubs will travel to Robinson tonight.

* the Lady Eagles have their final game at 1:30 on Friday afternoon

(OLNEY) in Girls High School Basketball – the Lady Maroons Thanksgiving Invitational is this week

the 8-team tournament is played at the Robinson High School

* Pool A includes Robinson, Olney, Effingham St. Anthony, and Charleston

* Pool B includes Mt. Carmel, Fairfield, Marshall, and Oblong

it includes games Tuesday night, thru the day next Friday, and thru the day next Saturday

* the final four cross over pool play games will be Saturday from 3:00 to 9:00

the Olney Lady Tigers play Tuesday night at 5:30, Friday at 12 noon, and Saturday morning at 10:30

* Olney’s final game will be Saturday afternoon or evening to be determined

be listening for Lady Tiger hoops on WSEI or WVLN, depending on our other sporting events

 

(OLNEY) in Boys High School Basketball – the annual Capital Classic is coming up this weekend

the 8-team tournament is played at the high schools in both Lawrenceville and Bridgeport

* the Red Hill site includes the host Salukis along with Olney, Salem, and Mt. Carmel

* the Lawrenceville site includes the host Indians, along with Marshall, Fairfield, and Teutopolis

it’s pool play with two sessions at each site that Friday and Friday night

* the pool play ends with session three at each site late Saturday morning into early afternoon

* the final cross pool play games will be in session four from 3:30 to 9:30 at the Red Hill High School

you’ll be able to hear all the Olney Tiger games on Freedom 92.9 WSEI sports
